He's simply the worst! No one knows how he's still alive! Somehow, he's made it to 22 years of age without anyone murdering him in cold blood, which is as surprising to him as it is to anyone else! While he was formerly in the infamous Port Mafia committing a laundry list of crimes, he is now a reformed bad guy. He is a good guy. Sometimes. Mostly. Ehhhh.

Ghost Bug Sherlock Holmes is at your service. For bonus points, he's got his very own cryptid in his left eye, which he usually covers up with his bangs.

Plans: Ginko is literally physically incapable of living an ordinary life in his original world because he'll cause ecological disaster if he stays in one place too long since his presence attracts beings called mushi. But since there's no mushi in Ashbrook, he'd get to be Just A Guy. That'll be super weird for him! The idea of there being Another Ginko who's life he's taken over will also be. uncomfortable.

Vash is what happens when you take a boatload of trauma and survivor's guilt then shove it way down deep in a box and stuff the rest of it to bursting with compassion and iron determination and a sprinkle of toxic positivity to avoid the bottom of the box at all costs. ... Did I mention that he's called to action as a hero even centuries after his death? He's summoned to fight other heroes in a Holy Grail War in Romania... He does find a way to get out before getting too deep, though, by exercising his personal autonomy.

Info: Once upon a time this guy was a knight in fantasy Regency Englefrance. Then some shit went down and he decided making a contract with a demon about it and going to hell to rewrite time was a great way to solve all his problems. It was not. Having thus established himself as a prolific serial killer and timeskipped thirty years, he became a Victorian sword man instead, and the essential whacky mentor to the teenaged protags in charge of the world saving. He goes out heroically enabling them by way of ripping a hole in reality so they can cross dimensions, and also crying because he doesn't want to die after having been totally cool about it through the whole manga while doing things like coughing up blood and going blind from overusing his magic destructo powers.

There's other stuff too, probably. I dunno, he's a troll and massively depressed.
Plans: In Pandora Hearts, all AUs are canon due to some bullshit, and a break knows this. To that end he's going to conclude that his wish to not be dead was so strong that he stole some other Break's life by accident and he is going to be both mad about it and thoroughly creeped out. I find this funny.
What Are You Most Excited About? The whole alternate identity thing for sure. I will honestly probably ignore most of the investigative stuff in favor of brain worms and CR — it will be IC if Break ends up more involved because people he gets attached to drag him into things anyhow.
What Cryptid Do You Think Is The Hottest? The Wulver, a Scottish wolf man who went around guiding lost people to towns and leaving fish on the windowsills of hungry families. Now that's marriageable material.

Anything else? Bringing Break is sort of a one trick pony kind of thing for me, but for one thing I'm miffed the game I had him in previously closed before I felt done with him. For another I’ve been super slow in RP this year on account of having had a baby last December. Things are finally settling down enough that I think I could swing playing more actively again, and since Break is my easiest by far, he'll be a good indicator of whether I can get away with trotting out a couple other characters down the line!

Info: hod is the patron librarian of literature at the library... she's a sweet, well-meaning girl who used to have a major complex about being seen as a good person, but she's better nowadays. you know, you have a meltdown and then that's your therapy or whatever. it's okay. she can still be nervous at times, especially around people she might have wronged in the past in some way, but she's getting better at handling that and at standing up for herself and what she wants to say. also she's started a book club in canon.
Plans: book club for sure. i'm one of the mods of ashbrook (hi!), but i'm the type of person who doesn't really like to have a character too involved in the setting/plot if i'm also one of the people behind the scenes... so hod will keep out of the spotlight of it mostly, but she's pretty perceptive, so she'll probably be a good source of information anyway. just stuff she noticed or heard and etc so on so forth. other than that, it'll be her first time being outside properly in like ten and a half years basically? so she'll have a great time. ashbrook is just, uh, significantly a downgrade from the city she's from in terms of technology.

Info: Angela is the Director of the Library that is her role's namesake, and was created as the most perfect, desirable, and capable AI in order to help manage Lobotomy Corporation's affairs alongside the actual Manager that comes in. Due to an unpleasant series of events, that corp's a corpse and from its ashes rose the Library. She seems somewhat aloof, but really she's inquisitive and kind at heart... A woman who's haunted by the sins of her past, present, and potential future as a human. Long story, pretty boring, but she was a machine and now she's not. Angela has a hard time forming relationships with others despite the innate desire to that was very much steamrolled out of her thanks to her time at L Corp., and her pointed, straightforward way of speaking doesn't exactly lend itself to making friends easy either... but she does, deep down.

Plans: when i was typing this up i realized that she's human and then i got so excited for her to try human things i want her to learn to swim. Angela's a very nosy person, so she'll be interested to know about Ashbrook and all its mysteries, but as a mod that'll be one of the harder things to keep deal with haha

Info: "peace two of them?" two of them. Angelica grew up in the Outskirts with her brother, Argalia, and were labrats for most of their lives before making it at Fixers in the City. She's a headstrong woman who's of the mind that you shouldn't worry about the things you can't change. There's no point in moping, sulking, or beating yourself up over it -- if there's nothing you can do, there's nothing you can do. That's that, and this is this. Fiercely strong, capable, and pushy, she's also a loving wife and would be mother in the future. Angelica doesn't mind a simple life in the end either, not asking for much save the company of the hottest man in the City (her husband), and seems to be a very good conversationalist even to people who don't want to get to know her at all.

Info: Elf kid raised in the woods by fairies who fucked up big time when he and the princess tried to outsmart an evil wizard who wanted to take over the world. Got sealed away for 7 years and woke up in an adult body so he could go beat said wizard. After saving the world, the princess sends him back in time so he can live out his childhood like normal, but by then he'd spent too much time fighting monsters and being guilty to really be a normal kid anymore. So he sent off on a new adventure and promptly got roped into this really thorny situation where the moon was going to crash into the earth and kill everyone!! haha, cool..... anyway, 100 groundhog day-style time loops later, he saved the day AGAIN, but oh no life is still just as lonely and alienating. Funny how that works. Basically, he's a very precocious and capable little guy who looks like a pipsqueak but is actually capable of killing monsters 50 times his size. Appears to be about 10 years old, mentally more like a teenager.
Plans: Not really, I'm mostly just interested in the idea of playing him at a mystery horror game! I have several other journals for Link from other Zelda games, but MM!Link really does just seem... especially fitting for a game with cryptids and spookyness.
What Are You Most Excited About? it's actually going to be so funny if he ends up in an actual normal school, with other children. He is 100% going to be that one weird ass kid doing crazy shit for fun and pissing the teacher off.

astarion is in it for himself and is locked deeply in self-preservation mode, making him a little callous and very disinterested in going out of his way to help anyone who doesn't benefit him, but kindness can pull him away from it. but he's equally liable to be enabled into being his very worst self, as he craves power - as most terrified people do.
Plans: NOT TOTALLY SURE YET, i think astarion would be thrilled to be in a world that is completely separated from faerun and - presumably - not have to worry as much about the turning into a mindflayer while here. people from different worlds mean different ways to liberate himself from both the tadpole in his brain and his cruel master back home.

but for the most part he's gonna be RUNNING on the adrenaline of being free until it wears off and he's back to being paranoid and terrified of what awaits him back home, or the possibility of cazador turning up

He also has a ton of baggage and trauma because of course he does. Izō is too dumb and uninterested in what's happening to want to actually investigate but it's possible to rope him into doing things for a variety of reasons (for the right payment...). he has skills! use them! he is a prickly but lovable weirdo who is soft and needs care on the inside ahhh.

Plans: this town could use a crusty juggler. Or you know that guy that just collects bricks on the side of the road. Or the guy that sells random shit in the parking lot at Target. Florida Man. I think it would be funny if he saw weird shit but nobody believes him because he's the weird drunk in town that usually needs to cool off in lock up overnight but they never actually charge because they know he's just kind of sad and pathetic and actually a pretty nice guy after awhile omfg.
