At least the guy is doing his accidental best to make Yoshiki think of the right things. Saying you like the 'spirit' of a vine is exactly the sort of thing a housewife or a grandfather might say. Yoshiki knows how to handle that.

If Yoshiki keeps his head down and doesn't look, he can pretend the cast off light is from- he doesn't know what glows like that, but something other than what it is. He sets his plastic basket down and hunkers next to it, then starts working on securing the green bounty he was sent to claim. He should've remembered to bring a knife, but it's not like you can't do it by hand.

"It looks healthy," Yoshiki says, pointlessly, because that's what you say back.
