In his minds eye, he envisioned his spouse as a petite woman with an iron will-- but, Siegfried suspected that somehow his spouse wasn't anyone with the face that he was imagining. The space occupied with notion of a 'spouse' was jarringingly blank, as if it were a space waiting to be filled.
Siegfried didn't much care for the unknowns, but he didn't want to alarm anyone either. For the moment, he was playing along with the role he had been given.
"You do realize that it's zucchini that we're speaking of, correct? The difference between what's in this basket and what I can spare is... Quite vast."
A nod to the squash vines surrounding him on his side of the fence.
"It's been quite a good growing season this year."
